Incident data and investigations can lead us to start initiatives that may address problem areas but sometimes theses can be just patches for a broken system.
It is only when we build understanding that we start to prevent both physical and psychological ill health. Is your communication process really effective? Do workers know what’s expected of them? Are shift rosters fair and reasonable? What’s working and what needs work?
Once effective systems and processes are in place then bringing in an element of fun to the workplace becomes the icing on the cake. People have earned a bit of fun when they work at that level.
